johnC of wakemeupmusic introduced me this japanese screamo band(and i mean REAL screamo!)back in 2002 and they totally ROCK!...i got no idea what the hell they are singing bout cos its in japanese(Even tho there are english translation in their albums) but still, they ROCK!...they'll be performing in singapore on 9 of August!

the netherlands of euro 2008 are exactly like argentina in world cup 2006...play total football in the group stages but are total flops in the knock out stage! i'm now rooting for turkey to win euro 2008...go turkey go!

they certainly came a REALLY long way from playing at Fat Frog Cafe at Substation Garden with a only a handful of crowd watching them to a crowd of THOUSANDS at baybeats...the recognition they deserved came abit too long...but nonetheless, it came and they truly deserve it...

and anyways, if you did read the interview, there was this last part Jon talking about a US indie band saying it was the BEST local band performance they've ever seen, my guess is dat Jon is talking about The Gloria Record applauding Astreal when they played in Baybeats 2003...the legendary Chris Simpson was standing beside me (heh!) looking very impressed by Astreal's performance, applauding and giving Astreal two thumbs up.

From the way i saw them play in the Euro qualifiers, pre-tournament friendlies and yesterday's match against Italy, i would definitely say dat the Netherlands will have the best chance to win this year's Euro 2008...the way they play their football is what i call beautiful football...they beat the world champions hands down yesterday...excellent counter attacking...good inter-changing play between robben, sneijder, van nistelrooy and van der vaart which reminds me of the manutd's combination of tevez, rooney, giggs and ronaldo...the next best team to play quite similarly like the Netherlands is Germany and Portugal...But Germany and Portugal got a much easier group then the Netherlands...lets juz wait and see...if the Netherlands can maintain the way they play against Italy for the next 2 match against France and Romania, then i must surely say, they WILL win Euro 2008
